People belonging to different industries may have different perspectives to see the world. However, being a programmer helps you a lot in performing daily life tasks smoothly.

Sharing few things that I really enjoy being a programmer. Programmers can do some tasks more efficiently than people from other professions.

#1 Logical thinking

Thinking logically or finding logic in everything is what makes a programmer a real programmer. Writing code is all about thinking, you can’t just write a few lines of code without thinking that what these lines would do.

Making important decisions in your life or being creative is necessary for developing your future. Programming helps you to be good at these things. Hence, helping you in fostering your future.

All of us come across challenges daily that require intelligent thinking and problem-solving. The more you can think logically, the easier it will be to find the solutions. And programming is one of the best ways to develop logical thinking.

#2 Spam Detection

There is so much spam on the internet that it is quite difficult for a normal person to determine what is real and what is spam. Look at the download buttons, for example. When downloading stuff from websites, you will be shown a bunch of spam download buttons and the real download button will be hiding somewhere with super tiny font size (so you click on ads first).

It usually doesn’t happen with programmers (image source)

It’s not limited to just download buttons. Whether it’s a spam email, spam phone call, or someone trying to scam you. It is a very good chance that a programmer can smell if something is wrong. In 2019, Americans lost at least $703,000 to Nigerian Prince email scams, costing each victim about $2,133.

So the next time, when you catch a spam email in the primary section of your Gmail inbox, be proud of yourself that you have saved some bucks.

#3 Problem-solving
